‘Starting from an account of a monument dedicated to the fallen during a war being moved internationally and playing off a motto inscribed onto this monument ‘Quis Seperabit’, a chain of collisions and associations are set off in this piece. A sculpture gets up and wanders across a world of other sculptures and assemblages as a narration wanders along too. Situated between optimism and dread, this work draws on the look of museum objects, advertising and transitory spaces to articulate the feeling of being surrounded by appeals and beckonings to be part of a present, whilst being called to look at a past as it flows and leaks toward us now.’

‘CAN YOU TOUCH AT THAT DO YOU WANNA… is beautifully filmed, scored and edited…mesmeric and enveloping.

This work affords an intimate encounter with the disquieting and schematic objects that inhabit a mummified nowhere world. Themes of modernity, simultaneity and permanence, coil lyrically around swelling carbuncles of socio-epistemological stuff; no-longer-ditches, evanescent monuments to the war dead, satellite cities and shimmering spit.’
